In â€Å"Pride and Prejudice† and â€Å"A Dolls House† both stories have strong leading female characters. Though in these stories due to the era in which they were set each female character acts different than the other because of the cultural differences between the Victorian Era and The Regency Era. For example in the Victorian Era woman had not yet taken their rightful place in society, but in the Regency Era romance, balls, and fine dining was there main objectives. One thing to say about both Eras was your level in society held priority to almost anything and everything. Each story takes place in a different Era and the cultural differences are outstanding. In â€Å"Pride and Prejudice† one of the lead characters, Mrs. Bonette , and her lovely daughters act independent in almost every aspect of their daily lives. Since this story was based in the Regency Era these woman were independent and educated and they were allowed to go to balls, dinners, and other special events without the company of a man. In the story Mrs. Bonette and her daughters were very independent as well as highly educated, and beautiful. Mrs. Bonette spent most of her time trying to prepare her daughters to attract rich noble men in which they could spend their lives with. In this Era woman while free to be independent and have their own thoughts, most of their thoughts were spent trying to find a wealthy man.
